X Factor fiasco! Shock as Ella Henderson is voted off after going head-to-head with equally talented James Arthur
By EMILY SHERIDAN Shock: Ella Henderson was voted off The X Factor after going head-to-head with James Arthur Ella Henderson was voted off in a shock X Factor twist on Sunday night after going head-to-head with James Arthur. The appearance of arguably two of the most talented contestants in the bottom two horrified viewers and the judges alike. All four judges were furious with who had ended up in the bottom two, and couldn't chose between the talented stars so it was brought to deadlock. Shock factor: Dermot O'Leary prepares to read out who received the lowest public votes Unfortunately for Ella, James had more public votes so he was saved for another week. Accepting her fate graciously, the 16-year-old said: 'This year , the talent on the show is incredible. Everyone deserves to be on this show. I wouldn't be where I am now without this show. '(I loved) meeting people, the contestants are great. I love you all. I loved performing on this stage. I've loved every minute of it. I've grown so much.' Ready to battle it out: The pair put on a united front as they walked on stage together ahead of the sing-off Unbelievable: After the judges failed to choose between the two, Ella and James's fate is handed over to the public James and Ella's respective mentors Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa both opted to save their acts, with Louis Walsh saving Ella and Gary Barlow opting for James. Tulisa hit out at the public for not voting for the two acts: 'This is exactly when people are voting for the wrong people. These people should be finalists. 'This is ridiculous. My decision is James, even though I love him to death. I shouldn't have to make this decision tonight.' Nicole said: 'No matter what happens, tonight is a great tragedy for this show. You two are the most talented to grace this stage. Ella I have no worries about you, but I have to stick with my boy.' Upset: Tulisa called the situation 'ridiculous' several times as she comforted her act on stage Louis added: 'I'm in shock. I thought they were two finalists. Nicole and Tulisa are broken-hearted. Ella you have so much potential. You've got so much more to give in this competition. James you are amazing. You're a ready made act for a record deal. The act I'm sending home is James.' Finally Gary brought it to deadlock when he saved James: 'Finally its serious. People at home, we are voting for the best singers every week. I always knew it was going to come to this. It's about the vocals, it's a singing competition. The act I'm sending home is Ella.' After the result of the public vote was announced, Tulisa joined Ella on-stage. source: dailymail

James Arthur wows X Factor judges as he puts a surprising dub-step twist on Adele classic Hometown Glory
Surprising: James Arthur performed Adele's Hometown Glory in a very different way on Saturday's X Factor James Arthur proved he's one to watch at this year's X Factor final as he performed a surprising Adele cover on Saturday night. The 24-year-old performed an acoustic version of her track Hometown Glory - with an added dub-step twist in the song. Gary Barlow said: 'Adele is such an amazing brilliant artist, no one should ever cover her songs... except you. Gracious: James was stunned by the judges' comments 'Most of the acts here are work in progress, but you're ready to record. Your talent is incredible.' James's mentor Nicole Scherzinger enthused: 'You are the future of music. You my love are the best of British.' While James had made Adele sound urban, the show's other favourite Ella Henderson made Tinie Tempah's rap song A Million Miles Away sound acoustic. And this week, both ladies put their best foot forward when it came to their style choices Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos both looked stunning in totally different dresses, with Nicole opting for a sexy leather dress while the N-Dubz star sparkled from top to toe in a lilac sequin number. Leather and sequins: Nicole opted for a sexy look this week while Tulisa kept it girly in a pastel dress Nicole decided to bare some skin in a strapless black leather dress that hugged her enviable figure in all the right places. The dress by Ermanno Scervino featured ruffles in the waistline which accentuated her great shape. She teamed up the sexy little black dress with shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti and got into the English spirit as she pinned a poppy on her neckline. Meanwhile, Tulisa stole the spotlight with a feminine dress with lilac sequins all over designed by Jovani. They were joined on stage by their fellow judges, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh, who both looked dapper in their signature suits as they helped the ladies down the steps in their stiletto heels. Gary stayed true to his gentlemanly style and opted for a classic suit with a white shirt, while Louis kept his ensemble all black. Sexy mentor: Nicole sizzled during this week's show as her acts also continued to go from strength to strength Despite looking glamorous and feminine in her great dress, Tulisa was upset she had to say goodbye to one of the girls she was mentoring, Lucy Spraggan. By LOUISE SAUNDERS His biggest fan: Robbie Williams declared his love for Rylan Clark as he performed on The X Factor He's made no secret of his love for controversial X Factor contestant Rylan Clark, and has already proclaimed he is strictly in 'Team Rylan'. But Robbie Williams took his fascination with the 24-year-old wannabe to a whole new level as he performed on Sunday night's results show. Taking to the stage for a rendition of his new single, Candy, the 38-year-old singer interspersed his performance to declare 'Go Rylan' to the audience. Rocking out: The 38-year-old singer sat on a giant throne as he performed his new single, Candy Risking the wrath of former Take That bandmate, Gary Barlow, who has taken a dislike to the eccentric hopeful, Robbie then urged his pal to go easy on Rylan. Speaking to Dermot O'Leary, he said: 'He's been a bit serious with Rylan and I love Rylan. Show him some love, Gaz.' But it wasn't just Rylan who was receiving a lot of love from Robbie, with the Angels hitmaker even treating judge Louis Walsh to a cheeky lapdance in the middle of his performance. Cheeky! Robbie treated Louis Walsh to a lapdance, much to the delight of the other X Factor judges And Robbie admitted he is very impressed by show favourite Ella Henderson. He said: 'Ella blew me away with her voice, I thought she was amazing.' This isn't the first time Robbie has declared his love for the Essex hopeful, with the pair having a bond during a masterclass earlier this week. Robbie told Rylan: 'I'm a big, big fan and I want you in my family's life. In some way, shape or form, I wanna see you on the TV an awful lot and bump into you backstage at places and say, 'Hey, how are you doing?' Excitable: Nicole Scherzinger jumped up into Rylan's arms when they heard he had made it through to the next week of The X Factor He also taunted Gary, claiming he was backing Rylan - who is mentored by Nicole Scherzinger - to win the show. Robbie added: 'Gaz, I don't know what this young man has done to offend you so much and I don't understand how you are missing out on the obvious brilliance and talent of Rylan. But I am not - I am strictly Team Rylan all the way.' Rylan was booed by the audience members as he was told he had made it through to next week's show on Sunday night, and promptly picked up Nicole and wrapped her legs around his waist as he shrieked with delight. Shocked: Although Nicole and Rylan were thrilled he had got through, he was booed by members of the audience It's over: Jade Ellis was voted off the competition following a shock sing-off against boyband Union J source: dailymail

'You're WORLD class!' Jahmene Douglas wows The X Factor judges with stunning performance of Killing Me Softly
By SARAH BULL World class: Jahmene Douglas wowed the judges with his performance of Killing Me Softly on The X Factor on Saturday night Tulisa Contostavlos said: 'You are a little muffin. I'm going to start calling you the man who can't be moved because every week I cannot find one negative critique. Brilliant performance.' Gary Barlow said: 'It was a stunning performance and great song choice.' And Jahmene's mentor Nicole Scherzinger concluded: 'Jah-mazing. It was so beautiful, beautifully understated. today I wanted you to taste and feel every word because so many people have song that song.' Giving it his all: Jahmene didn't hold back with his performance, and is already being tipped a likely winner of the show 'Amazing': Louis Walsh kicked off the comments by complimenting Jahmene on an incredible performance Host Dermot O'Leary kicked the fright night off at the beginning of the evening as he made his way onto the spookily-lit stage to the sounds of Michael Jackson's Thriller, accompanied by a crowd of dancers. Dermot, wearing a pair of red devil's horns, even managed a sequence of a few dance moves as he riled the crowd up ahead of welcoming the judges. Judges Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh then made their way onto the stage, in suitably spooky outfits. Nicole went for the shock factor in a lacy catsuit and crimped hair with a black headpiece, but told Dermot: 'I just wanted to wear something really simple tonight!' source: dailymail

The charmer has left the building! Gary Barlow leaves Tulisa stunned as he accuses her of having 'fag ash breath' on X Factor
Open-mouthed: Tulisa looked stunned as Gary accused her of having 'fag ash breath' Things turned personal on The X Factor on Saturday night, when the normally charming Gary Barlow accused his fellow judge Tulisa of having 'fag ash breath'. It came to a head after Tulisa criticised Gary for the song he had chosen for his act Christopher Maloney, saying to him: 'Gary, how many of these eighties classics are you going to let him keep destroying?' Gary, who had clearly been contemplating his response while Tulisa spoke, then said: ''I don't know what's offended me more - what you said or the fag ash breath!' The charmer has left the building! The attack was most out-of-character for the usually gentlemanly Gary And Tulisa was as shocked as everybody else by Gary's out-of-character comment, sitting there open-mouthed as she took in what he had said. But as Dermot O'Leary spoke to Christopher following the performance, Tulisa interrupted saying: 'Just a note for Gary - lay off the red wine because I can really smell that as well.' Later on ITV2's The Xtra Factor Barlow was asked if he had been drinking red wine and he said he had 'a little sip' in his dressing room and went on to apologise to his fellow judge. Singing his heart out: Christopher Maloney sings Cutting Crew's Died In Your Arms on The X Factor on Saturday He said: 'Can I apologise to Tulisa - I mean it. You have the freedom to be as personal as you like to me for the rest of the series - insult me.' Tulisa told The Xtra Factor that Barlow had once said he 'loved' the smell of cigarettes because it reminded him of the days he used to smoke and Barlow agreed. But when asked if she had accepted Gary's apology, Tulisa replied: 'No, not yet.' The row occurred after Christopher took to the stage performing Cutting Crew's Died In Your Arms - a heartfelt performance but once which lacked the Halloween theatrics of some of the others.
