Kareena safely keeping away from Saif’s kids
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan might be going strong as far as their respective careers are concerned, but all is not well at the most raved about couple’s love nest. Believe it or not, but Kareena Kapoor is apparently keeping away from Saif’s kids these days, as she is constantly looking for reasons to avoid them. Unwilling to accept her future step mom duties, Kareena refuses to establish any rapport with the children and Bebo’s callous attitude towards the kids is not going down very well with the Chote Nawab.
Cofirming the news, a source said, “Kareena feels very uncomfortable around Saif’s children and she is not readu even to be a step mom. In fact, she always tries to avoid them whenever they are around”. What’s more is that the actress takes a quite leave when Saif’s children come to stay with him. During that time, Bebo prefers to move to her own apartment and live there.
Even now, when Saif is vacationing with his kids in London, Kareena, who is also there, has kept a safe distance from her beau and his kids. Well, looks like Saif and Kareena sure have some issues to solve.
Vivek or Bachchan?
Just a while ago Ram Gopal Varma was talking of making his film Department (based on the working of the police department) with Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi playing encounter specialists.
Now there is talk of Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan doing the lead roles. There is most certainly some kind of mix up here. In fact the grapevine has it that after Ramu signed his protege Vivek for Rakta Charitra, the Bachchans have reportedly been blowing cold with him. Everyone knows there is a bit of awkwardness there.
'Khatta Meetha' fails to hit the mark
When an Akshay Kumar starrer releases, footfalls are obviously expected at theatres. After all, he’s the star who promises belly-aching laughs. Alas, there were few to be had from his latest film Khatta Meetha if the critics’ reviews are to go by.
Critics apart, even janta doesn’t seem too gung-ho about the movie. The film, directed by Priyadarshan had a decent opening weekend with a net collection of Rs. 23 crores. But multiplexes witnessed a fall in occupancy from Monday onwards. A not-so-good word of mouth isn’t working in the film’s favour either.
If trade figures are to go by, the film has fared much below Akshay’s last release Housefull which raked in Rs. 31 crores in its opening weekend. Trade pundits believe the competition Khatta Meetha got from the Hollywood release ‘Salt’ and the already running ‘Inception’ might have dented the movie’s collections. The Christopher Nolan flick has made about Rs 12.50 crores at multiplexes in just ten days.
This Friday would see the release of director Milan Luthria’s crime thriller Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai.
