From zero to hero! Helen Flanagan passes sixth Bushtucker Trial with ease and wins twelve meals for her hungry campmates

She did it! Helen Flanagan finally got stuck in to a Bushtucker Trial and won the maximum twelve stars Earlier today, Helen Flanagan's grandad revealed she rarely ventures in to the garden, so it was no surprise she was floundering in the Australian jungle. Similarly, her parents proclaimed that the Coronation Street actress is so afraid of the dark she can't sleep unless one of her Harry Potter DVDs is playing in the background. But tonight, as Helen and her eleven campmates tuck in to a meal each after she successfully completed her sixth Bushtucker Trial, it's safe to assume her family in Manchester will be eating a big plate of words - with humble pie for pudding.

Bugged out: Helen had to grab stars from the clutches of creepy crawlies When Helen woke up this morning she could have taken the mindset of 'another day another Bushtucker Trial', but something - perhaps the low morale of camp or the rumbling of twelve tummies - caused her to awake to a brand new mindset. She had been selected by the public to participate in Deadly Delivery, her sixth Bushtucker Trial. In the previous five she had not managed to win a single star, and while her celebrity campmates had initially been sympathetic, it seemed their patience was wearing thin.

Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts said: 'You’ve eaten crap, you’ve been in the darkness, you’ve seen an ostrich, you’ve had bugs on you, you’ve seen rats.' Hugo Taylor joined in to add: 'If you come back to camp and say that you’ve failed then everyone will kick off. You can’t freeze.' Later, the Made In Chelsea star spoke openly in the Bush Telegraph about his frustrations at the soap actress' squeamishness.

'I don't know why you are in here': Helen Flanagan breaks down in tears over camp criticism after quitting FIFTH Bushtucker Trial... before it's even begun on I'm A Celeb

Chicken run: Helen Flanagan quit the Rodent Run Bushtucker Trial before it had even begun Not even knowing that there were eleven hungry people waiting for her back at camp could persuade Helen Flanagan to complete a Bushtucker Trial. In tonight's episode, viewers saw the ex-Coronation Street star shout 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!' before the trial, dubbed Rodent Run, began. The tearful actress then returned to camp, indignant that she had done her best, and confident that her ravenous peers would not be annoyed with her.

Let down: Helen is becoming hated by viewers as she repeatedly wimps out of Bushtucker Trials This was the 22-year old actress' fifth Bushtucker Trial, and it's clearly not getting any easier for the fragile young woman. At the start of the episode, she was seen admitting that thinking about the impending trial had left her 'feeling deflated.' But, if she wanted sympathy from her camp mates, she didn't get it as they decided that perhaps a different approach would help motivate her to try harder to bring back some meals for them.

As far as she got: Helen put the goggles on, but soon after was asking to quit the trial Eastenders actress Charlie Brooks said: 'She goes out feeling negative - maybe that’s not going to be a good thing for the trial, but to be honest she’s gone out feeling positive and not done it so maybe the opposite will work. 'We’ve all tried little pep talks and words of encouragement but I don’t know how much any of it goes in really.' Professional darts player Eric Bristow agreed, saying: 'I’m not bothering anymore to try and say good luck because it just goes in one ear and out the other.'

When she arrived at the scene of the trial, Ant and Dec tried to coax the freaked out star in to trying harder than usual. She told him: ''I’m not feeling this, I have given it 100%, what more can I give? 'I will have a look (at the trial), obviously I really want to give everything a go and I’m not a quitter at all, but if I think absolutely no I’ve had enough, then I’ve had enough.'

Pensive: Helen is really struggling with jungle life and is often crying to her camp mates The task involved a giant jungle hamster cage, which was split into five areas, two crawl- through tunnels, a house, a bathing tub and a hamster’s wheel. Each area contained stars – twelve in total - and a host of jungle critters, including, rats, meal worms, green ants and spiders.

Helen Flanagan finally finds something she's good at as she performs in her bra on I'm A Celeb ... but still only comes third

Playing to her strengths: Helen Flanagan teams up with Hugo Taylor to perform a poem in the Jungle Variety Show, of course clad in a turquoise bra She's consistently failed all the trials, but now finally Helen Flanagan has won something on I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here. As the celebrities had to take part in a Jungle Variety Show, Helen teamed up with Hugo Taylor to perform a poem in front of judges Rosemary and Limahl and the rest of the camp. And the former Corrie star played in on her strengths, as she did the performance in a turquoise bra and pink tutu.

Please let me win! Hugo performed a poem while Helen acted out the words, and it earned them third place At the end of the poem, performed by Hugo as the scantily-clad Helen acted out the words behind him, the blonde bombshell got down to her knees and begged the judges for a chance. Poking fun at herself and the past five failed Bush Tucker Trials, the star said: 'Just please, please let me win something!' And she managed to impress Rosemary and Limahl to a certain extent, coming third and winning a pass to a night in the outback's pub, the Jungle Arms.

Fun in the jungle: The competition saw the celebrities team up, pick a talent and perform in front of judges Rosemary and Limahl Limahl said after Helen and Hugo's show: 'There was a Shakespearean quality about your poetry and the dancing from Helen was worthy of a winning performance.' Rosemary added: 'Helen you've got my heart because to be honest, you won this competition.' And her other camp mates enjoyed the poem as well, with Ashley saying: 'Hugo and Helen were very creative. I liked how Helen poked fun at herself. That's cool.'

The celebrities belted out the song and managed to impress their fellow camp mates Meanwhile, the blonde bombshell herself was ecstatic with her win, exclaiming: 'I'm over the moon, I actually won something. If they got them right, the treasure hunters would receive another clue The former Pussycat Doll read the instructions: 'Contact your camp mates using the radio; each answer will tell you where to go; your compass will guide you from tree to tree; the one final answer will set the dollars free.’ They had to radio through a question to the camp, and if they answered it correctly they would receive co-ordinates to the next tree that had a clue on it.

However, Hugo was left red raced after he radioed the pair instructions on how to use a compass, but incorrectly told them to follow the black end of the compass rather the red end.
