Bipasha Basu’s first International project!

After sizzling in Bollywood for almost a decade, Bipasha Basu has signed her first International project. The movie, which has been named ‘Singularity', will be directed by Roland Joffe. Bipasha is extremely excited and admits that this movie would be a milestone in her career. The bong beauty, who spreads her magic in Bollywood, feels it is time for her to showcase her acting skills in Hollywood as well.

The movie, written by Ajey Jhankar, is a riveting tale of an impossible love set across two time periods and continents. It is set in the backdrop of the First Anglo-Maratha war of the 18th century and revolves around four characters: a British officer in colonial India and the Indian woman he falls in love with, an American marine biologist and his researcher lover who gets trapped in a wrecked British merchant ship. Singularity is expected to be shot in Australia and India.

Bipasha Basu smooched in public!

Not only boys but even girls cannot take their eyes and hands from sexy Bipasha Basu. Bipasha Basu has got various stories of manhandle to tell. The most recent incident took place at the Bangalore airport. Recently, she was almost smooch by a lady. This interesting incident took place at the Bangalore airport.

The star tweeted, "Hving my yum strawberry green tea n thn hve 2 race against time 2 get ready for my fligh 2 bengaluru! It's my parents anniversary today! yay?!"

A few hours later Bipasha mentioned, "Funniest thing happened at BLR airport entrance! One aunty pulled me dwn almost pinned me to smooch me! Somehow I was saved! Near escape!"

This is not the only incident that took place with a female fan. She had a similar experience in Sri Lanka also. She tweeted, "Sri Lanka for IIFA I was saying hello 2 ppl outside d hotel, 1 girl pulled my hand n bit my finger hard! But today's aunty shocked me more!"

Oops, from now Bips have to keep extra security to protect herself.

Bipasha not ready to marry John

Bong bombshell Bipasha Basu has got marriage phobia. She has been dating actor John Abraham for many years but still avoids getting married to him. The reason, she suffers from marriage blues and so she runs away from marriage. It is quite surprising that since the last 28 years, she has attended only two marriages. The entire process of marriage makes Bipasha Basu feel nervous. John and Bips close friend cricketer MS Dhoni tied the knot but the actress quips that she can’t handle the pressure faced by a bride, going though the rituals and dressing like bride with heavy ornaments and decorated outfit. 

 

Bipasha also adds, “I hate getting decked up. I’m okay with attending receptions. You can still get away with just wearing something formal and nice to a reception. But the actual shaadi ceremony is something I have avoided all these years.”

Aishwarya Rai not responsible for Bipasha’s exit from Ravana

Bipasha Basu was first picked up to play Mandodari, Ravana’s wife in the film Raavana, but later she was dropped. It was rumored that Aishwarya Rai was behind her unceremonious exist from the film.

Now it is being cleared that it was due to heavy star cast of the film that she was not selected to play the character. There film already had Aishwarya Rai as Sita, South superstar Vikram as Ram, Abhishek Bachhan as Raavan, National Award winner Priya Mani as Shoorpankha and Govinda as Hanuman. However, the rumors in newspapers and magazine continued that Ash was behind existing of Bipasha. But such gossips may not be true as Bipasha is already cast against Abhishek in Dum Maro Dum and they get along nicely. It looks like the rumors are baseless. '

Partying with Bipasha Basu costs lakhs!

Be prepared to loosen your purse strings if you want to party with Bipasha Basu. The sexy bongshell made it clear in no uncertain terms when she refused to attend the party of a hotelier at the launch of her fitness DVD, produced by Shemaroo Entertainment.

Bipasha was staying at Hotel Ramada Plaza where she was to reportedly attend a party to celebrate the DVD’s launch. However, when she learnt that it was also the birthday party of the hotel chairman, Ashok Mittal, she put her foot down and refused to go to the party.

A shocked Mittal tried to persuade the actress, but she didn’t budge.

Now, Mittal is accusing Bipasha of being “greedy” and alleges that she demanded Rs 30 lakh to attend the party. Mittal says it was specified in the contract that she would attend the party.

However, an official statement by Shemaroo Entertainment says: “It was never mentioned it was the chairman’s birthday. Due to misrepresentation of facts, we decided Bipasha won’t attend.”

We hear the production house gave the hotel a compensation of a little over Rs 10 lakh for Bipasha’s refusal to attend the party.

Bipasha Basu own fitness DVD!

She is the fittest star in Bollywood and Bipasha Basu has even won an award for it. No doubt girls envy her and boys love her. So what about staying fit in a Bips way?

Bipasha will release her workout DVD next month. Through the film one can get 60-day workout exercises recommended by celebrity fitness expert Dianne Pandey. According to a source, the name of the DVD is ‘Love Yourself’. The programme will have beginner’s workout, advanced workout, play workouts and also English and Hindi voiceovers with Bollywood music in the background, reports say. The gal knows how to inspire lazy souls to work on their bodies.

Bips is a fitness freak and hitting the gym is more a passion than fashion for her. The reports reveal that the film was done in Delhi last year and it will also have Bipasha’s interview. With this, Bipasha becomes the second actress after Shilpa Shetty to launch her own fitness DVD.

Bipasha’s birthday without John

Bipasha Basu was in Delhi for her birthday celebrations on January 7, but unfortunately without hubby John Abraham. Though John was in Delhi, but he preferred spending time with cars than her lady love on her birthday. However, the couple flew back together to Mumbai to be there for Bipasha’s special family birthday lunch.

Giving the details, the bong beauty says, “This was my first birthday in Delhi. I’ve very special links with that city. I was born in Delhi. So when I got a chance to be in the Capital for my birthday I grabbed it. To make it even better it was seriously cold in Delhi. I love the winter weather.

It was the Auto Expo and as you know John loves anything on wheels, but hates birthdays. So he was just happy being around some of the best cars in the world.”

However, Bipasha stands by her lover and explains, “John runs the other way when it comes to cutting cakes. I spent my whole birthday cutting cakes with different groups of family members and friends. I couldn’t take all the calls and sms. But I answered all of them on the day after my birthday.”

Talking about the family lunch on her birthday, Bips says, “It’s an annual ritual on my birthday, and one I won’t miss for the world. This time one of my sisters was not here for my birthday. She’s studying. We really missed her. But my parents and my other sister, brother-in-law and nephew were home for my birthday.

When I returned from Delhi my house was filled with flowers. You’ve no idea how wonderful flowers look in a newly-renovated house. My home was fragrant and attractive. My two sweet maidservants had arranged all the bouquets all over the house.”

Bipasha Basu charges Rs 2.47 crore for 15 minutes!

This year, not many Bollywood beauties have decided to shake their booty on stage courtesy to the pittance they are being offered as remuneration. But that is not the case with bong hottie Bipasha, on whom money is raining like cats and dogs.

Apparently, the leggy Bipasha is all set to seduce with her dance moves in a sizzling performance at a suburban Five Star hotel on December 31, 2009. It’s reported that she has charged an astronomically high price to perform at the event, though media is guessing it to be around 2 crores, but that is so not true, as we have it from Bips close friend that the sultry actress is charging no less that 2.47 crores!

Giving out details of the payment, we hear that this one is first for Bollywood as no other actress performer has ever charged so high for a 15 minute show! That comes to a cool 16 lakhs 46 thousand per minute. The amount will be paid in installments; the breakdown is 1.2 crores in cheque, some in cash and the rest in gifts.

Bipasha is going to perform on numbers from her films ‘Omkara’, ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, etc. there is also a probability of her performing on songs from the 70’s.

Earlier, when Bipasha performed on New Year ’s Eve in the year 2007, she set the benchmark by becoming the highest paid performer by charging close to 1 crore, and now even in the times of recession Bips has managed to draw a sweet 2.47 crores, now that’s called having your cake and eating it too!
