Vijay & Akshay Kumar again pairing!

Vijay did a special cameo appearance for his good friend Prabhu Deva in his directorial film Rowdy Rathore and danced alongside Akshay Kumar.

Now we hear that Ilayathalapathy Vijay is planning for another such appearance. Vijay who is busy shooting for AR Murugadoss's Thuppaki will be doing a guest appearance in the Hindi version of this film, which will see Akshay reprising Vijay's role.

The Bollywood version will Kick-start once Vijay completes with the Tamil version states the director. The film being an action thriller, will see Vijay playing an encounter specialist. And who else to do a action role other than our action Khiladi Akki for its Hindi version?

Meanwhile, the hearing of Vijay's Thuppakki title issue, in Chennai civil court which was scheduled on July 16 has been postponed to July 19.

Thuppakki has Kajal Aggarwal playing the female lead, while Vidyut Jamwal, Akshara Gowda and  Gautham Kurup are also part of the cast. Thuppaki is produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu and it will hit the screens in November 2012.

Prabhu Deva to direct Virat Kohli!

Our very own Prabhu Deva has become the poster boy of Bollywood. Yes, after the success of Rowdy Rathore, he is all over the Page 3 news and is regularly seen at events across Mumbai. His item number for Akshay Kumar‘s Joker with Sonakshi Sinha also earned him more eyeballs. Now, Prabhu Deva is all set to conquer the ad film world as well.

For his first ad film, a new shoe brand was the client and Indian ODI vice captain Virat Kohli was the man that Prabhu directed. In stark contrast to his on-field image, that of fiery persona, Virat is also known to be a cool guy off the field.

Prabhu Deva was understandably happy with this new experience and had a lot of fun. An official announcement in this regard is expected soon.

Prabhu Deva item song with Sonakshi Sinha!

Prabhudheva, who is known for his exceptional dancing skills, will be doing an item number in Akshay Kumar's production OMG! Oh My God.Akki shares a very good rapport with his Rowdy Rathore director Prabhudheva and he requested Prabhu to shake a leg with Sonakshi Sinha in an item number in Oh My God. Prabhu immediately agreed to do the song. He might even choreograph the song.

Oh My God is based on Gujarati play 'Kanji Viruddh Kanji' and is directed by Umesh Shukla. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.

Prabhu Deva: Directing a Hindi movie is tough

 

Pokkiri was a money spinner in Tamil. Now the Hindi remake Wanted, starring Salman Khan and Ayesha Taika in lead roles, is ready for release. Prabhu Deva, who directed the Tamil version, has also directed the Hindi version.

Directing the Hindi version (the first Hindi film he has directed) was a difficult proposition, says Prabhu Deva. He felt that the pressure factor was more. "The expectations of these audiences are much higher and one have to cater to a wider range of cultures," revealed Prabhu Deva on his first big test in Hindi.

What or who was responsible for the delay in releasing Wanted? Prabhu said he did not want to blame anyone for the delay. Praising the lead pair, he said, "Keeping the tastes of Hindi audiences in mind, I made a lot of changes from the original in th song and comedy sequences. Directing a talented dancer like Ayesha and the cooperative Salman Khan made my job easier."
