By LOUISE SAUNDERS His biggest fan: Robbie Williams declared his love for Rylan Clark as he performed on The X Factor He's made no secret of his love for controversial X Factor contestant Rylan Clark, and has already proclaimed he is strictly in 'Team Rylan'. But Robbie Williams took his fascination with the 24-year-old wannabe to a whole new level as he performed on Sunday night's results show. Taking to the stage for a rendition of his new single, Candy, the 38-year-old singer interspersed his performance to declare 'Go Rylan' to the audience. Rocking out: The 38-year-old singer sat on a giant throne as he performed his new single, Candy Risking the wrath of former Take That bandmate, Gary Barlow, who has taken a dislike to the eccentric hopeful, Robbie then urged his pal to go easy on Rylan. Speaking to Dermot O'Leary, he said: 'He's been a bit serious with Rylan and I love Rylan. Show him some love, Gaz.' But it wasn't just Rylan who was receiving a lot of love from Robbie, with the Angels hitmaker even treating judge Louis Walsh to a cheeky lapdance in the middle of his performance. Cheeky! Robbie treated Louis Walsh to a lapdance, much to the delight of the other X Factor judges And Robbie admitted he is very impressed by show favourite Ella Henderson. He said: 'Ella blew me away with her voice, I thought she was amazing.' This isn't the first time Robbie has declared his love for the Essex hopeful, with the pair having a bond during a masterclass earlier this week. Robbie told Rylan: 'I'm a big, big fan and I want you in my family's life. In some way, shape or form, I wanna see you on the TV an awful lot and bump into you backstage at places and say, 'Hey, how are you doing?' Excitable: Nicole Scherzinger jumped up into Rylan's arms when they heard he had made it through to the next week of The X Factor He also taunted Gary, claiming he was backing Rylan - who is mentored by Nicole Scherzinger - to win the show. Robbie added: 'Gaz, I don't know what this young man has done to offend you so much and I don't understand how you are missing out on the obvious brilliance and talent of Rylan. But I am not - I am strictly Team Rylan all the way.' Rylan was booed by the audience members as he was told he had made it through to next week's show on Sunday night, and promptly picked up Nicole and wrapped her legs around his waist as he shrieked with delight.
